The Civil Engineering Network (CEN) has launched a civil engineering workshop for Singaporean professionals and engineers on Monday, where it will showcase how civil engineering can be applied to real world problems.
The CEN is the country’s only professional organization dedicated to the study and application of civil engineering.
It offers a range of courses, from Civil Engineering Internship to Civil Engineering Degree, that aim to equip Singaporeans with the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in civil engineering careers.CEN’s website lists more than 150 workshops and training sessions across the country.”CEN has more than doubled its number of courses since the launch of our first civil engineering internship in July last year, which we are happy to say is the most active one ever,” said Dr Tan Jee Yoon, Vice President of the CEN.
“More than 90 per cent of our courses have been held in the last year,” he said.
In recent years, CEN has focused on increasing the number of civil engineers in the country through the development of courses and workshops for professional training.
“As we continue to grow our workforce, we are committed to continuing to increase the number and diversity of our civil engineering programs and trainees,” Dr Tan said.
“It is essential that the training we provide to civil engineers is up to scratch.”
