The U.N. World Civil Engineering Staffs Database lists more than 2,500 civil engineers from 190 countries.
The database lists countries from across the globe, including countries like China, which has the largest civil engineering staff in the world.
Civil engineers are responsible for civil engineering infrastructure projects, and can work in many areas including building, infrastructure, power generation, transportation, water and wastewater systems, transportation and communications systems, power distribution and distribution, and communications, water, wastewater, energy, and sanitation systems.
